EYE ON EBAY

This intrigues me. The Stripes single attracted 18 bids. The successful bidder sacrificed £265 to own this mysterious item. I want information. Is it as good as Abstract Art by Flying Colours? It may well have been comped as the seller claims but I can't find it on any of my comps.

Nice record, but my copy (like a lot of them, apparently) was wildly off-centre on one side and it's not like I don't have enough symptoms of pseudo-seasickness going on naturally anyway, so I sold it. But no, it's not as nice as the Flying Colours single.

I'd forgotten what abstract art sounds like so just pulled it out (great powerpop/indie sound) personally i prefer "the stripes" 45 bit more melody (more mod/powerpop handclaps n all, voice is a bit weedy ala ed ball).
Find it on captain mods 2cd "100% British mod" or alternatively try contacting dizzy at detour records (he's put a few up for auction on e-bay over the last few years- so I'm guessing he's got a few more squirreled away still)

I measure powerpop by Abstract Art. That's just me.

Thanks Bristolboy for directing me towards the Captain Mod CD's.
Sounds like you've got a decent collection. Recently bought Abstract Art from a shop in West Wickham for £30. It was a valentine present from the girlfriend.

I'll side with Flying Colours too. I don't have either record just comps, but I have had a few unsuccessful attempts at the Flying Colours on ebay.
