EYE ON EBAY

£69 secures a powerpop classic by the Form. Is it a powerpop classic? I don't know but seller Funky Gibbon claimed it was. He also claimed to be selling more rarities and he did not disappoint. Meanwhile the mysterious Form single intrigues me; is it as good as anything by the Smirks?

I think the word 'classic' may be a little over-used at Funky Gibbon HQ. Saying that, The Form record is pretty good. I'd rate it above the Smirks but it ain't no Jets "Tearaway" or PHG "Spotlight".

Don't think I can link it to the page from here but anyway the PHG Spotlight single sold recently on ebay for £29.

Yeah, saw that one. That's roughly what I paid for mine a couple of years ago, cheap considering how great it is. That's the 2nd copy from the same seller, he seems to have multiples of lots of stuff (Kidda Band, Miss Kate etc), so he might have more. The one I need is "Judy, Turn Out The Light".

By the way, that Form single is at the punky end of the powerpop scale.
